IT Systems Engineer (Automation)

Location: Hybrid or full-time in-office in Warsaw, Poland; remote work is possible from within Poland for selected candidates. Relocation to Poland is required for candidates residing abroad.

Salary: 12,900–17,700 PLN gross monthly.

What you will do

• Design, test, implement, and maintain scripts and applications that automate administrative and operational IT infrastructure tasks.
• Identify high-potential automation opportunities, optimize existing tools, and lead projects that improve the Systems Engineering team's velocity.
• Develop and manage scalable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible, including reusable and maintainable modules and roles.
• Administer virtualization and hypervisor platforms, manage compute capacity, and maintain performance, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.
• Develop and integrate Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and CI/CD tools while collaborating with Core Infrastructure, ITSECOPS, and other internal teams.
• Document automation tools and processes and continuously improve systems using modern IT automation practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IT process automation, programming, or advanced systems administration.
• Advanced knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python or PowerShell, and proven experience designing, building, and deploying automation tools in production.
• Hands-on production experience with Terraform and Ansible, including reusable modules, roles, and Infrastructure as Code management.
• Practical experience administering virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, including resource management, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
• Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and infrastructure resilience principles.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, version control systems such as Git or Perforce, and practical experience with CI/CD tools and concepts.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Prometheus and visualization platforms such as Grafana.
• Highly developed analytical thinking, independent diagnosis and resolution of complex technical challenges, strong communication and collaboration skills, initiative, proactive approach, results orientation, and high standards for work quality.
• Working proficiency in both Polish and English.
