Supply Chain Manager, Procurement & Logistics Operations (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Berlin, Germany; full-time, in-office position based in the Berlin office 5 days per week.

Salary: €60,900–€76,100 gross annual salary; discretionary bonuses and/or equity may also apply.

Space and data company designing, building, and operating a large constellation of imaging satellites and a cloud-based platform for commercial, environmental, and humanitarian users.

What you will do

• Own the purchase-order lifecycle for Berlin production, from requisition and placement through acknowledgement, expediting, and close-out.
• Translate the Pelican satellite build plan and BOM demand into purchasing actions while balancing supply timing and inventory investment.
• Manage supplier performance across Europe and the US, including delivery, quality issues, corrective actions, lead-time risks, and recovery plans.
• Qualify and onboard European suppliers, localize supply where appropriate, and execute long-term agreements with Strategic Sourcing.
• Build and operate inbound, outbound, and intercompany logistics across the US, Germany, and Europe, including freight forwarders, Incoterms, routing, customs, and export controls.
• Run procurement transactions in NetSuite, Coupa, and PLM; maintain master data, report supply-chain metrics, write SOPs, harmonize US and Berlin processes, and help build the Berlin team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics operations in a hardware manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with German/EU customs and import/export processes, Incoterms, and freight forwarders.
• Working knowledge of export-control and dangerous-goods regulations for hardware shipments.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP or purchasing systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Coupa, plus strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to access applicable US and German/EU export-controlled information without additional export licensing, as required for the role.

Nice to have

• Business-fluent German.
• Experience establishing a new site, warehouse, or supply-chain function from scratch.
• Experience procuring PCBAs, fabricated metal parts, or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with the EU Dual-Use Regulation, BAFA licensing, or US ITAR/EAR.
• APICS CSCP/CPIM, CIPS, or IHK qualification in purchasing and logistics.
• Ability to work across time zones with a US-based team and manage conflicting priorities with frequent context switching.
