Junior Procurement Specialist R&D & Projekte (m/w/d) (2) (Unmanned Systems)

Location: On-site in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany; occasional business travel required. Company shuttle available from Pasing in Munich.

What you will do

• Support procurement activities for development and project-related requirements, from purchase requisitions and purchase orders through goods receipt and invoice processing.
• Coordinate and resolve procurement issues, technical and commercial inquiries, and supplier communication with Engineering, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Finance, Strategic Procurement, and suppliers.
• Monitor delivery schedules, follow up on open purchase orders and critical deliveries, and maintain procurement, supplier, and purchase-order data in the ERP system.
• Support RFQs, quotation evaluations, supplier assessments, and supplier-performance analyses, reports, and KPIs.
• Assist Project Procurement with development, industrialization, and production ramp-up projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvements across procurement and supply-chain processes.

Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in strategic procurement, supplier development, or materials sourcing, ideally in the technology sector.
• Experience independently managing technical projects and supplier relationships.
• High self-motivation, a structured working style, and the ability to take responsibility.
• Strong communication skills and a confident manner in both German and English.
• Ability to be recognized as an internal expert and proactively create added value.
• Willingness to travel for occasional business trips.
