Procurement Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage all potential and contracted suppliers within the mechanisms perimeter.
• Execute and contribute to the source-to-contract process, including supplier scouting, RfX bid phases, down-selection, contract negotiation and award.
• Supervise suppliers end to end before and after contract signature.
• Support the mechanisms engineering team in defining and modifying the make-or-buy strategy.
• Collaborate with and challenge suppliers to meet cost and schedule targets, while managing risks, opportunities and mitigation actions.
• Maintain accurate ERP-ODOO, contract-status and ad-hoc databases and provide regular reporting to the manager.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering or business law, or a bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience working with complex contracts related to technical products; sales, bid management, procurement or commodity management experience qualifies.
• Proven experience in a complex technical environment where new technologies are developed.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with colleagues from technical disciplines and functions.
• Ability to manage a high workload autonomously, prioritise urgent items and proactively inform stakeholders when something is late or at risk.
• Driven to sign and execute contracts while focusing on key deliverables.
• Fluency in English is required.
