Journeyman Network Services Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; limited travel as needed.

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

hirify.global supports the EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate contract and the Aerial Networks Division at Hanscom AFB, delivering network, information-system, enterprise-service, and application capabilities for Department of Defense operations.

What you will do

• Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, configure, install, implement, integrate, maintain, and manage networked systems transmitting voice, data, and video.
• Analyze and recommend network requirements, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Analyze network workloads and monitor network capacity and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve network problems.
• Recommend network backup and recovery procedures.
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating-system software while applying information-security and cybersecurity policies and practices.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in a network engineering position.
• Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Ability to use, configure, troubleshoot, and operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and/or HP network devices.
• Hands-on Tactical Data Link experience.
