Network Engineer (Corporate IT) (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States. Onsite.

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and improve enterprise, manufacturing, laboratory, mission-critical, data center, and cloud-adjacent network infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols including OSPF and BGP, wireless, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and high-availability solutions.
• Implement segmentation and access controls using VLANs, VRFs, ACLs, firewalls, NAC/802.1X, and zero-trust-aligned controls.
• Monitor network health and performance, troubleshoot across Layers 1–7, support incident response, and perform root cause and post-incident reviews.
• Develop network automation with Python, Ansible, and Terraform; maintain monitoring, telemetry, diagrams, IP address records, configurations, and runbooks.
• Support test campaigns, mission-critical activities, firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes, capacity planning, new site builds, relocations, laboratory deployments, QoS, and precision-timing technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering or network administration experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting multi-site, on-premises, and cloud-adjacent networks in change-controlled, security-sensitive, or similarly structured production environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, including VLANs, trunking, STP, link aggregation, OSPF, and familiarity with BGP.
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting high-availability technologies such as HSRP/VRRP, MLAG, or stacking.
• Working knowledge of network segmentation, VRFs, ACLs, and exposure to NAC or 802.1X.
• Experience with enterprise wireless networks, VPNs, WAN connectivity, and troubleshooting across multi-site or distributed environments.
• Experience in Cisco-leaning environments, including traditional enterprise platforms and Meraki or other cloud-managed solutions; experience with Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar platforms is also acceptable.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of hands-on network engineering or network administration experience in production environments.
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with SD-WAN, data center fabrics, or EVPN/VXLAN.
• Familiarity with PTP/IEEE 1588, 802.1AS, QoS, or traffic engineering.
• Experience with automation frameworks, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated, mission-critical environments.
