Data Science Intern (Healthcare)

Location: In-person at Trinity's Waltham, MA headquarters or New York City offices, United States. The 9-week summer internship runs from June 15 to August 13, 2027, with a 40-hour workweek.

Salary: $35/hour.

What you will do

• Analyze and interpret secondary and real-world data to address business objectives.
• Create best practices and standardized SQL, R, and Python code modules for internal initiatives.
• Support senior staff and project managers with ongoing client engagements and project timelines.
• Develop knowledge of industry secondary data sources and assess the advantages and disadvantages of using each source.
• Work alongside consultants and analysts on strategic business issues across the life sciences industry.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's program as a rising senior or in a Master's program at a top-tier university, studying business, engineering, mathematics, biostatistics, data science, economics, or life sciences.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Have strong technical ability in data analysis of large datasets, particularly healthcare data.
• Be self-motivated, willing to take initiative, and appropriately independent.
• Be enthusiastic about collaborative, team-based work.
• Have strong problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Candidates requiring visa sponsorship, including TN, H1-B, F-1, or STEM OPT sponsorship, cannot be considered.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with healthcare terms such as ICD, HCPCS/CPT, and NDC.
