Data Science Intern (AI)

Location: Mountain View or San Francisco, California; onsite at the Mountain View or San Francisco offices

Salary: $54–$60 USD per hour in the SF Bay Area

What you will do

• Work with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders across Product, Customer Success, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to solve business problems with data.
• Apply data science methodologies, including causal inference modeling and recommender systems, to real-world data.
• Deliver insights and deploy algorithms to the data and AI platform.
• Manage an end-to-end project from data exploration through stakeholder presentation and/or algorithm deployment in a product environment.

Requirements

• Graduate in fall 2027 or spring 2028 with a Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Operational Research, or Engineering.
• Proven ability to work with data using SQL and Python.
• Experience with multiple statistical data analysis and machine learning methods, including generalized linear regression, regression and classification trees, unsupervised learning, causal inference, stochastic processes, and time series forecasting.
• Interest in solving ambiguous problems collaboratively.
