Consulting Manager (Workday Benefits)

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $150,000.00–$190,000.00 USD annually, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Manage complex Workday Benefits projects from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Advise senior client executives on benefits transformation initiatives, system roadmaps, compliance, and business requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop consulting teams across multiple concurrent client engagements.
• Oversee scope, timelines, budgets, resource planning, engagement governance, risk mitigation, and escalations.
• Provide executive oversight of plan setup, eligibility rules, life events, open enrollment, and benefit plan designs.
• Coordinate integrations with Payroll, insurance carriers, COBRA administrators, and other third-party systems; support benefits-focused presales, proposals, and client presentations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in benefits administration, HCM consulting, or enterprise systems, including 5+ years of hands-on Workday Benefits experience.
• Proven success leading end-to-end Workday Benefits implementations, including configuration, testing, enrollment events, and carrier integration.
• Deep understanding of benefits regulations, including ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA, as well as plan structures, eligibility rules, and data exchange requirements.
• Strong leadership and project delivery skills, including experience scaling consulting teams and managing concurrent client engagements.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior business leaders.
• Strategic and operational understanding of aligning system design with HR, compliance, and business needs.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
