Health & Group Benefits Consultant - EB Consulting

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates may work onsite in select hirify.global office locations if preferred. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $117,500–$222,985 in 2026 and $119,850–$227,445 in 2027, with ranges varying by candidate location.

What you will do

• Manage large, complex Health & Group Benefits client projects and relationships, independently and with consultants and actuaries.
• Provide senior-level consulting on plan design, compliance, benefit strategy, and vendor selection and management.
• Lead marketing and vendor search processes for leave, disability, and group life programs.
• Support program implementation after vendor selection and track project activity, results, and peer review compliance.
• Build relationships with clients, internal colleagues, carriers, vendor partners, and other market stakeholders.
• Identify and develop consulting sales and cross-sell opportunities, including proposal writing and finalist presentations.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of demonstrated success providing Health & Welfare consulting services, including leave management, disability, and group life insurance.
• Life and health producer license.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of disability, leave management, and group life insurance coverages.
• Current and relevant knowledge of legislation, market trends, and issues affecting the Health & Welfare market, especially leave management, disability insurance, and group life.
• Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework, including Paid Family and Medical Leave laws, FMLA, ADAAA, and state and federal regulations.
• Thorough understanding of the marketing and vendor search process, with the ability to manage the full process.
• Experience working with actuaries; strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to present and manage discussions involving complex topics.
• Effective time management, prioritization, organization, problem-solving, research, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; travel required up to 25%.
