Operations Analyst (AI)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Toronto, ON; Remote US; San Francisco, CA; Remote Canada; Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX. Workplace: Hybrid.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD per year for US locations, plus equity awards, an annual performance bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project managers, engineers, annotators, and external partners to clarify requirements, communicate findings, and align on quality expectations.
• Prepare quality updates and reports for stakeholders, leadership, and external partners.
• Review annotated sensor and map data against project specifications, identify recurring quality issues, and propose solutions.
• Write and maintain annotation policies, training manuals, onboarding documentation, and other technical materials.
• Perform annotations, test internal tools and software releases, report bugs, and identify UI/UX or workflow improvements that increase throughput and accuracy.
• Create videos, renders, and visualizations, and support on-road operations and other program priorities.

Requirements

• Experience collaborating with partners, project managers, annotators, and engineers across a project lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and make recommendations based on findings.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing data.
• Excellent data analysis skills, including spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• Working familiarity with Jira or other workflow tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in the self-driving industry.
• Experience with mapping, LiDAR, or other annotation pipelines.
• Experience writing training materials or technical documentation.
• Experience with software testing or QA.
• SQL, Python, or 3D/video tools.
