Senior Project and Release Manager (Ecommerce)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid, with teams in the office an average of four days a week.

What you will do

• Manage complex technical projects and releases across client environments, including pre-production and production systems.
• Report on technical deliverables, architecture, release pipelines, risks, and mitigation options.
• Coordinate internal technical specialists, third-party vendors, environments, and client technical resources.
• Define, plan, organize, and manage the build of new infrastructure environments and coordinate high-quality technical solutions.
• Lead technical meetings, manage stakeholder and client expectations, and build customer confidence through timely delivery.
• Implement technical governance, support junior technical project managers, and run projects using Agile, Incremental, or Waterfall methodologies.

Requirements

• Project management experience, ideally with ecommerce experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to read log files, draw conclusions, and direct further technical investigation.
• Experience working with ecommerce frameworks and hosting solutions, with an understanding of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS DevOps tooling.
• Ability to define, manage, and deliver to customer expectations within strict deadlines.
• Full knowledge of the project lifecycle and experience with Agile, Incremental, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Comfort working with complex technical environments and legacy systems integration, including managing third parties.
• Strong time-management, organizational, negotiation, communication, and diplomatic skills.
• Relevant project management qualifications and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• BA/BS degree in information management, marketing, communications, business, or a closely related area.
• Developer background or programming qualification.
• Understanding of Jenkins or other release pipeline tools.
• Experience with code management tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
• Basic understanding of Terraform sufficient to engage with technical teams.
