Senior IT Project Manager (IT Transformation and Infrastructure)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Salary: €5,460–€6,300 for B2B contracts or €2,700–€3,100 net for a permanent contract.

What you will do

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT transformation programs, delivering them on time and within budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, milestones, quality standards, and communication between technical and business stakeholders.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and comprehensive project plans.
• Assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies.
• Scope, establish, and scale IT teams, especially in Portugal, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and IT infrastructure best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience leading large IT projects or programs.
• Proven expertise in IT delivery, infrastructure, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience setting up or expanding IT teams, particularly in Portugal.
• Strong project management skills with relevant certifications such as PMP or Prince2.
• Technical proficiency in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience in an international, multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of Dutch or Portuguese.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
