Project Engineer I - CAE Analysis

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, US; offsite work in Michigan, US. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Perform project work within specified deadlines.
• Plan and formulate meshing and engineering analyses according to project requirements.
• Use software to create analysis models and conduct CAE studies for batteries and engines across a wide range of applications.
• Provide design recommendations based on analysis results.
• Prepare and present results to internal project teams.

Requirements

• 0–3+ years of experience in the area of expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with meshing software for creating Finite Element Models.

Nice to have

• Experience with ANSA meshing software.
• Experience with the ABAQUS solver and META post-processing software.
• Experience with stress analysis, forced vibration analysis, fatigue analysis, heat transfer, and thermal stress analysis.
• Experience with design optimization and Design of Experiments (DOE).
