Senior Product Manager (HRIS)

What you will do

• Own and prioritise the product vision, long-term strategy, roadmap, milestones, and operational plans for assigned user-facing HRIS tools and features.
• Translate school stakeholders’ operational needs into problem statements, epics, stories, feature definitions, and prioritised backlogs using customer data and RICE.
• Lead sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery execution with the Lead Engineer, while monitoring pipeline performance and improving processes.
• Create wireframes and interface concepts, improve platform usability, and ensure designs meet modern corporate UI/UX standards.
• Coordinate Engineering, Design, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and external education stakeholders on delivery, compliance, product marketing, and enablement.
• Represent the platform at sales meetings, user forums, and national education conferences while using customer data and UK school-system knowledge to guide product decisions.

Requirements

• Considerable professional product development experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS business environment.
• Solid, demonstrated understanding of UX and UI design methodologies.
• Proven experience expanding a product’s reach and growing its user base.
• Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Figma, Productboard, and Slite.
• Practical experience applying formal, data-driven prioritisation frameworks, specifically RICE.
• Proven experience partnering with Product Marketing teams to launch and execute GTM initiatives.
• Proven experience implementing, running, and participating in structured agile practices and sprint ceremonies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in British English, including the ability to persuade stakeholders and explain decisions.
• Ability to work independently, own outcomes, adapt strategies, and deliver results with distributed cross-functional teams.
• Passion for improving the working lives of school stakeholders and working in a fast-scaling company.

Nice to have

• Experience managing and developing an HR or HRIS product.
• Practical working knowledge of the UK school system, Multi-Academy Trust structures, and statutory educational data frameworks.
• Experience interpreting raw user engagement data in product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Pendo, or Gainsight.
