Senior Product Manager (HRIS)

Location: Remote

Salary: £70,000–£75,000 per year

hirify.global develops school management software, including SAMpeople, an online people management system used by more than 3,000 schools. The product covers contracts, compliance, absences, cases, training, and CPD.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, long-term strategy, delivery roadmap, milestones, and operational plans for user-facing tools and features.
• Translate MIS users’ operational needs into problem statements, epics, stories, feature definitions, and prioritised backlogs using customer data and the RICE framework.
• Manage product and engineering work in Jira, Figma, Productboard, and related software management systems.
• Lead sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery execution with engineering partners.
• Create wireframes and interface concepts, improve usability, and align product changes with modern UI/UX standards.
• Coordinate Engineering, Design, Finance, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and external education stakeholders while addressing compliance, commercial, and delivery risks.

Requirements

• Considerable product development experience in a B2B or B2C SaaS business.
• Solid understanding of UX/UI design methodologies and the ability to discuss both areas in depth.
• Experience expanding product reach and growing the user base.
• Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Figma, Productboard, and Slite.
• Practical experience with formal, data-driven prioritisation frameworks, specifically RICE.
• Experience partnering with Product Marketing teams on go-to-market initiatives.
• Experience implementing, running, and participating in structured agile practices and sprint ceremonies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in British English, with the ability to persuade stakeholders and explain decisions.
• Ability to work independently, own outcomes, adapt strategies, and deliver with distributed cross-functional teams.
• Passion for improving the working lives of school stakeholders and working in a fast-scaling company.

Nice to have

• Experience managing and developing an HR or HRIS product.
• Working knowledge of the UK school system, Multi-Academy Trust structures, and statutory educational data frameworks.
• Experience interpreting user engagement data in product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Pendo, or Gainsight.
