Technical Product Manager (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Own product strategy and roadmap for a defined portfolio within hirify.global’s healthcare data platform.
• Partner with embedded engineering teams throughout the SDLC, translating business goals, customer needs, and technical constraints into requirements, acceptance criteria, and scoped increments.
• Work deeply with data pipelines, data models, enrichment, APIs, architecture, scalability, and technical debt.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, incident and RCA reviews, and structured technical discovery.
• Use SQL and product or data instrumentation to validate hypotheses, troubleshoot issues, and make data-informed prioritization decisions.
• Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and tradeoffs while partnering with design, operations, commercial, marketing, and analytics teams to drive adoption and measurable value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–7+ years of product management experience, including substantial collaboration with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven experience taking products from requirements through SDLC to launch, including MVP scoping and post-launch iteration.
• Experience participating in technical tradeoff discussions covering architecture, APIs, data flows, scalability, and implementation approaches.
• Hands-on SQL proficiency for self-service analysis and product decision validation.
• Working knowledge of databases and data-platform technologies, such as Snowflake and cloud data warehouses, including how data-model design affects product capabilities.
• Ability to partner with engineers on API design, system architecture, and technical constraints without requiring all concepts to be translated into non-technical terms.
• Strong ownership, hands-on execution, communication, facilitation, ambiguity management, attention to detail, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, health-tech, or complex B2B data or SaaS experience; population health, value-based care, or interoperability experience.
• Experience with healthcare data standards or interoperability frameworks such as FHIR and regulatory-grade data environments.
• Exposure to AI, ML, or GenAI product capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation, automation, or predictive analytics.
• Experience with BI or visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker and large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Background in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering, or prior experience as a software engineer or data analyst.
