IT Support Technician II

Location: On-site in Melbourne, Florida, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or otherwise eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, administer, upgrade, and maintain Windows and Ubuntu desktops, laptops, servers, virtual machines, and laboratory systems.
• Support Windows and Linux systems in an Active Directory environment and manage network and online file storage.
• Provide user support through the ticketing system, including onboarding new hires and assisting employees with IT issues.
• Maintain hardware, software, licensing inventories, system baselines, documentation, and local servers.
• Configure and maintain conferencing A/V systems and digital signage.
• Identify software and infrastructure needs and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate information technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience administering both Windows and Linux systems.
• Good foundational knowledge of networking.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, customer service orientation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, VMware ESXi, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, WSL, and Active Directory.
• Experience with automated management tools.
• Eligibility to work on U.S. Government-regulated space technology under the stated export authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing government standards and requirements for IT systems, such as NIST 800-171 and ITAR/EAR.
