RF Test & Validation Engineer

What you will do

• Run RF characterization and validation of radio boards and integrated radio systems.
• Build and maintain automated RF test benches, including interconnects, harnesses, and fixtures.
• Develop reusable Python suites for instrument control and data capture across standard RF measurements.
• Perform pre-compliance and compliance-support measurements, including EMC and thermal testing, and test standalone and integrated antennas.
• Support radio integration on systems, analyze results, identify anomalies, and provide structured reports to RF designers.
• Own RF lab readiness by tracking calibration, managing fixtures and accessories, identifying equipment gaps, and supporting less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience running RF characterization with a VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, AWG, and oscilloscope.
• Solid understanding of standard measurements including S-parameters, P1dB, IIP3, sensitivity, and spurious measurements.
• Experience building reusable test automation; Python is preferred.
• Experience with fine-pitch SMD and coaxial-cable rework on RF boards.
• Ability to work carefully around input-power damage thresholds and protect instruments and devices under test.
• Rigorous and perceptive approach to interpreting results, identifying anomalies early, and writing clear, structured reports.
• Ability to keep a shared laboratory tidy and collaborate effectively with designers.
