Senior Test Engineer 2 (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Specify, develop, debug, and optimize test programs for new MCU32 microcontroller products from concept through mass production.
• Contribute to Design for Test specifications and define test requirements and strategies with design, product, and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Analyze test data, identify root causes of yield and quality issues, and drive corrective actions.
• Support product qualification, characterization, and reliability testing.
• Improve test methodologies to increase coverage and reduce cost and cycle time.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and prepare technical documentation and performance reports.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of semiconductor test engineering experience, preferably with microcontrollers or mixed-signal ICs.
• Proficiency in embedded programming with C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with hardware debugging, data analysis, and statistical methods.
• Strong communication skills in English and French are required.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automated test equipment and test program development.
• Experience with the Cohu D1X tester.
• Experience with MCU32 architecture, wafer sort, final test, yield improvement, or test cost optimization.
• Experience in an international, cross-functional engineering environment.
