Nanofabrication Test & Automation Intern M/F (Quantum Hardware)

Alice & Bob is developing a universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer based on superconducting Schrödinger cat qubits.

What you will do

• Design and test solutions for pre-aligning diced chips before visual inspection and probing.
• Source and procure hardware tools required for chip pre-alignment.
• Use automatic alignment procedures for visual inspection microscopes and probe stations.
• Test the complete visual inspection and probe-testing workflow and verify alignment performance.
• Check that test data flows correctly to the repository and improve the process where needed.
• Write specifications, document results, present findings to the nanofabrication community, and create or update Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Licence Pro in Microtechnology, Test, or Nanofabrication.
• Available for a 4–5 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027.
• Proficient in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of clean room environments and microfabrication, including semiconductor or superconducting technologies.
