CPU Validation Engineer

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

hirify.global develops processor technologies and computing solutions, with this role supporting the Atom PG Val Tool team.

What you will do

• Run custom-designed test content to qualify feature functionality and perform failure triage.
• Analyze execution data and performance monitors to optimize test-content suites and assess product health efficiently.
• Debug and isolate system and platform issues.
• Tune and optimize system hardware and software parameters to improve validation efficiency.
• Develop software, automation, indicators, and infrastructure tools to improve product validation effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus 2–5 years of hands-on CPU validation experience; or a relevant master’s degree with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of CPU architecture fundamentals, validation techniques, and debug processes.
• Experience with post-silicon validation tools and methods.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in system-level or post-silicon validation or test development.
• Familiarity with CPU features, embedded systems, or platform debug tools.
• Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
