Lead Mechatronics Engineer

What you will do

• Lead mechatronics system-level exploration, design, modeling, analysis, qualification, and implementation for next-generation products and technology building blocks.
• Define and drive the regional mechatronics technology and building-block roadmap in Suzhou, aligned with global strategy and portfolio targets.
• Serve as a hands-on working manager for the Suzhou mechatronics team, providing technical mentorship, direction, and execution oversight.
• Collaborate with global mechatronics teams, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to integrate technologies into high-volume products.
• Transition advanced technologies into mass production and support production issue resolution through root-cause analysis and improvement proposals.
• Monitor regional competitors, suppliers, fairs, and emerging technologies while defining hardware requirements and synthesizing technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Deep expert engineering background across electrical engineering, firmware, and mechanical engineering, with proven success delivering complex mechatronic systems into mass production.
• System-level thinking for design and problem solving, with the ability to lead problem solving and synthesize and propose solutions.
• Curiosity and willingness to explore new technologies.
• Cross-site and cross-functional communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated working management or team leadership capabilities, including mentoring technical talent and driving execution.
• Engineering master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with solid experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Suzhou Engineering Group technologies, sensors, actuators, or intelligent hardware systems.
