Product Engineer (Compressor Components)

What you will do

• Develop new compressor-related products with schedules and test plans covering safety, quality, performance, and economic objectives.
• Identify design-related cost-reduction opportunities and define the testing required for qualification and implementation.
• Work with designers and Design Engineers on fit, alignment, tolerance stack-ups, component geometry, and technical requirements.
• Establish and verify component development processes, prepare prototype parts, and follow up on performance and reliability testing.
• Coordinate NPD reporting, weekly meetings, presentations, technical documentation, and related project tasks.
• Support engineering laboratories, manufacturing facilities, supplier quality, procurement, advanced manufacturing, reliability teams, compressor testing, and technical service analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of mechanical product development experience with a BS degree, or at least 1 year with an MS degree.
• Ability to apply computational skills to mechanical systems and component behavior.
• Good working knowledge of refrigeration systems and compressors.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and typical assembly and fabrication methods, including current manufacturing practices.
• PC skills, including Microsoft Office, presentation preparation, report compilation, and computational spreadsheet use.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
