What you will do
- Lead mechanical design and analysis for new product concepts, components, and assemblies using 3D CAD and FEA tools.
- Develop testing methodologies to validate designs, assess performance, and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with electrical, optical, manufacturing, and reliability engineering teams on product integration and manufacturability.
- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, test plans, and reports, and contribute technical expertise to design reviews.
- Evaluate materials and manufacturing processes including machining, injection molding, stamping, and additive manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in optical, telecommunications, or semiconductor industries.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo and finite element analysis for stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
- Strong knowledge of machining, injection molding, stamping, and additive manufacturing.
- Experience with design for reliability and design for manufacturability principles.
- Strong analytical, experimental, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
