Design Engineer (HVACR)

Location: Suzhou, China; onsite

What you will do

• Develop sophisticated mechanical structures and new products within program scope and manufacturability requirements.
• Design compressor structures and components, optimizing cost, system performance, reliability, and manufacturing readiness.
• Perform load, force, component-strength, static, and dynamic analyses for new product development.
• Customize layouts and tooling according to design-for-customer and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Qualify components, identify and mitigate risks with manufacturing engineers, and apply DFMEA and PFMEA processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, maintain project documentation, support product launches, and deliver continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of mechanical engineering design experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a master’s degree.
• Experience must include mechanical design, basic static and dynamic analysis, material-strength calculations, and component design optimization.
• Proven technical knowledge and skills in mechanical design.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with compressor design.
• Strong background knowledge of refrigeration systems.
