Facilities Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite five days a week. Short-term business travel is required.

What you will do

• Improve facility utilities and building systems, including water, sewer, electrical, structural, and hazardous-material systems.
• Coordinate maintenance and systems integration for manufacturing equipment and facility operations.
• Analyze current and future procedures, training, equipment needs, and industrial equipment specifications.
• Troubleshoot failures, inefficiencies, and repair needs; design solutions that prevent recurring problems.
• Develop planned maintenance programs and documentation for maintenance frequency and recurring issues.
• Manage outside contractors performing facility or utility maintenance, repairs, and modifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree and at least two years of relevant experience.
• Participation in or leadership of at least two plant-wide projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Power BI, and PLC programming software.
• Ability to coordinate across electrical, computer applications, mechanical, construction, structural, and environmental disciplines as applicable.
• Ability to determine legal requirements for hazardous waste and air emissions and ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in PLC programming.
• Experience with manufacturing facility and equipment operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement projects.
