Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader (Enterprise Custody Services)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite at 240 Greenwich Street.

Base salary: $136,500–$250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering portfolio for the Enterprise Custody Services Platform, setting direction for modernization, execution, and delivery performance.
• Build and lead global engineering teams, including organizational design, talent development, recruitment, and retention.
• Deliver scalable, resilient, and secure technology solutions that improve business outcomes, client experience, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and business leadership to align engineering investments with strategic priorities.
• Advance software practices, quality disciplines, delivery rigor, governance, resilience, and operational oversight.
• Manage budgets, workforce planning, investment priorities, and senior leadership communication while scaling automation and AI-enabled capabilities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering organizations and complex technology portfolios in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong track record of modernization, platform transformation, and engineering execution at scale.
• Deep technical grounding in enterprise software engineering, distributed systems, integration patterns, APIs, cloud-enabled architectures, and resilient platform design.
• Experience leading global engineering teams in complex, matrixed environments.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, engineering quality, operational controls, and risk management in high-availability environments.
• Experience applying automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve engineering productivity, delivery quality, operational efficiency, or service outcomes.
• Strong business and stakeholder leadership skills across engineering, product, architecture, operations, risk, and senior business partners.
• Track record of building high-performing teams and developing strong engineering leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, custody, securities processing, or similarly regulated environments.
