Admissions Counselor II - San Antonio

Location: Remote; incumbent must reside within the San Antonio region and travel to schools, events, and the Corpus Christi campus as required.

Salary: Up to $3,657.34 monthly, approximately $43,888 annually.

What you will do

• Advise San Antonio-area students on admission requirements, enrollment information, academic offerings, and university opportunities.
• Build relationships with high school counselors, community colleges, community organizations, local alumni, students, parents, and counselors.
• Visit schools, deliver presentations, host admissions events, and participate in college fairs, signing days, and TACRAO recruiting activities.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs to attract prospective students and yield admitted students.
• Coordinate regional recruitment events, the annual Counselor Update, and the San Antonio and Border Run TACRAO college fair schedule.
• Maintain application-status communications and prepare weekly recruitment reports, monthly partner reports, and travel reconciliations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience. An associate’s degree combined with three years of related experience may substitute for the minimum requirement.
• Ability to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends.
• Strong public speaking, presentation, customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize events.
• Ability to learn TAMU-CC admissions, academic offerings, services, and student opportunities.
• Residence within the San Antonio region is required for recruitment activities, local relationships, and regional representation.

Nice to have

• Experience in admissions, student recruiting, student affairs, or college relations.
• Documented professional excellence in a dynamic, service-oriented role involving daily one-on-one interaction.
• Experience with Banner Student Information System, CRM software, and enrollment applications such as Argos and Laserfiche.
