Instructional Designer I (EdTech)

Location: Bryan, Texas; College Station hirify.global; telecommuter eligible

What you will do

• Develop and update classroom and online courses by following established curriculum development processes and standards.
• Design student and instructor materials, presentations, visual aids, training manuals, and other instructional content.
• Define and sequence course content, create learning objectives, and align activities and assessments with those objectives.
• Research resources and permissions, conduct technical reviews, edit curriculum materials, and prepare content for publication or printing.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, stakeholders, and design team members to ensure accurate and valid training design.
• Establish project scope, timelines, goals, and objectives; monitor progress and prepare project reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. No experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• Alternatively, an associate’s degree plus two years of experience in training, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus four years of experience in training, curriculum development, and adult learning principles.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to apply adult education theory, learning styles, information design principles, technical editing, and digital accessibility practices.
