Assistant Operations Manager (Ecommerce)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Hodgkins, Illinois, United States; consistent second-shift work starting at 3pm CST is required.

Base salary: $75,000–$88,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end second-shift outbound operations for dry and fresh/frozen fulfillment, driving daily throughput against targets.
• Lead, schedule, assign, and coach frontline warehouse teams in a high-volume fulfillment environment.
• Maintain operational, personnel, shipping, material-handling, and warehousing policies and procedures.
• Evaluate performance metrics, quality, productivity, costs, and workflow efficiency.
• Safeguard warehouse operations, maintain equipment and facility conditions, and coordinate layouts, repairs, and replacements.
• Prepare budgets, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse or fulfillment operations.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System, including KPI and productivity tracking.
• Proficiency with computers, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Ability to work the second shift consistently.

• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
• Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean process improvement.
• Experience helping scale a growing distribution center.
• OSHA certification or project management certification.
