Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, NY; onsite five days per week.

Salary: $250,000 base salary plus 0.5–1% equity.

hirify.global is partnering with a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed AI startup building an AI-native platform that helps banks, credit unions, and fintech companies automate complex regulatory and compliance workflows.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship customer-facing features across the frontend and backend.
• Build intuitive, responsive interfaces for complex, data-heavy enterprise workflows.
• Develop AI-powered product capabilities that automate manual processes.
• Own features end-to-end, from customer needs and technical design through implementation, launch, and production support.
• Collaborate directly with customers, engineering, and Customer Success to shape product improvements.
• Improve application architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications.
• Strong experience developing modern, interactive frontend applications and supporting backend systems.
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, application state, APIs, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Strong product instincts and attention to user experience, particularly for complex or data-intensive applications.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver features from concept through production.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to building high-quality software.
• Ability to work onsite in New York City five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience developing AI-powered features or integrating AI capabilities into software products.
• Background building B2B SaaS, fintech, or enterprise workflow applications.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers to influence product development.
• Previous experience working on a small engineering team or at an early-stage startup.
