Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Ottawa, Canada; other location: Montreal (St. Laurent). Hybrid model. Occasional travel within Canada. Legal authorization to work in Canada is required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain Canadian security clearance and Controlled Goods clearance.

Base pay: $107,500 CAD–$157,500 CAD per year.

What you will do

• Manage the execution of In-Service Support projects for Training Center Operations in collaboration with site managers, internal support functions, and PMO governance.
• Develop and execute plans for medium-to-high complexity projects, including goals, schedules, deliverables, work breakdown structures, and technical coordination.
• Manage financial and operational resources, contractual obligations, project profitability, subcontracting, and workshare agreements.
• Lead project teams and direct multiple concurrent projects through resource allocation, scheduling, prioritization, and resolution of workload challenges.
• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships, negotiations, communications, proposal development, and technical specification gaps.
• Support continuous improvement, recruitment and people management, contract amendments or scope expansion, project reviews, reports, and executive presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience managing medium-to-high complexity projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English and French.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management accreditation.
• Ability to travel occasionally within Canada.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Canadian security clearance and Controlled Goods clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit.

• Experience managing projects in training, simulation, defence, or aerospace environments.
• Experience working with government contracts or defence customers.
• Experience with project financial management and profitability analysis.
• Experience leading multi-site or distributed teams.
• Familiarity with PMO governance frameworks and structured project management methodologies.
• Experience with military flying training or maintenance training programs.
• Experience with simulator or training-device support organizations.
• Experience managing or supporting long-term In-Service Support contracts.
