Senior Project Manager

Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Base compensation: $108,000–$158,000 CAD per year, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead strategic programs and projects with significant complexity, risk, and visibility from initiation through execution.
• Translate business strategy into project plans and manage scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and benefits across concurrent projects or a program.
• Apply and improve governance structures, PMO standards, operating rhythms, tools, methodologies, and AI-enabled approaches.
• Drive collaboration and negotiate alignment across business functions and senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Provide executive-ready updates, reporting, analysis, and stakeholder communications, using AI tools where appropriate.
• Mentor and guide project managers while contributing subject-matter expertise on evolving PM and PMO practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience, including successful leadership of large, cross-functional programs with 10+ FTEs, durations of 6+ months, and moderate to high risk in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Direct experience owning budget, scope, and resourcing decisions across multiple concurrent projects or a program.
• Proven experience negotiating and engaging directly with senior and executive stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies, with judgment to adapt them to complex and ambiguous situations.
• A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program or project management certification.
• Experience with software development life cycles and technology-enabled process design.
• Technical fluency across modern enterprise systems and architectures, including cloud, APIs, and data integration, with the ability to discuss technical trade-offs with engineering and architecture teams.
• Strategic acumen and the ability to turn ambiguous, complex problems into clear, executive-ready recommendations.
• Experience in a global, matrixed technology organization.
