Senior Project Manager - Audio Visual (Audio Visual)

Location: Virtual day-to-day role in Canada; periodic travel to project sites anywhere in Canada is required, with travel typically accounting for 20–40% of the role.

Salary: CAD 100,000–115,000 annually.

What you will do

• Own the scope, schedule, cost, quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction of large, complex, and sensitive projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, internal teams, contractors, trades, subcontractors, engineers, CAD and programming resources, installation technicians, account executives, directors, and clients.
• Manage project communications, schedules, task lists, deliverables, meetings, budgets, staffing, billings, risks, and project updates.
• Conduct field verification, coordinate drawings and documentation, facilitate design reviews, oversee system programming and final checkout, and manage punch-list completion.
• Develop client relationships, resolve conflicts, provide leadership and support to project teams, and coordinate training and project turnover.
• Follow and improve project processes, maintain safety compliance, conduct site safety walk-throughs, and prepare required safety documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Strong financial background in project cost accounting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication, supervisory, people, and leadership skills.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel by car and occasionally by airplane to project sites anywhere in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license in the state or province of residence.
• Ability to work on construction sites, comply with safety regulations, wear required PPE, spend significant time on foot, climb ladders, use stairs, and lift or move materials up to 20 pounds.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Experience in systems integration and deep knowledge of workplace AV systems.
• Experience with media, entertainment, or broadcast systems.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical projects.
• Client-focused approach and ability to connect technology solutions to business needs.
• Strong organization, delegation, planning, prioritization, risk management, problem-solving, teamwork, and expectation-management skills.
