Manager Project Managment

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Canada

Base pay range: $82,000–$166,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop project management team members while setting expectations, managing performance, and supporting succession and career development.
• Oversee a portfolio of modernization and upgrade projects covering controls, software, mechanical, electrical, installation, system upgrades, and capacity expansion.
• Lead the transition from Sales to Operations, including pre-contract support, estimating input, project kickoffs, implementation, testing, acceptance, cutover, and go-live.
• Coordinate project management, software, controls, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, installation, vendors, subcontractors, and integrator partners.
• Own project portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, revenue recognition, cost-to-complete, invoicing, cash flow, profitability analysis, milestones, and billable deliverables.
• Manage escalations, risks, customer relationships, project closeout, service handover, follow-on business opportunities, strategic planning, operational reviews, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful experience leading projects or a project function, preferably in automation, logistics, manufacturing, lifecycle services, or large customer-dedicated portfolio environments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale project portfolios and significant customer-facing revenue responsibility.
• Strong understanding of automation systems, controls architectures, systems integration, and industrial and enterprise software systems.
• Experience with schedule and change management, safety excellence, permit and installation processes, material supply chains, contract administration, subcontractor management, and risk management.
• Advanced project and program management skills across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, customer focus, verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office; Microsoft Project or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
