Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; onsite hybrid work with an onsite final interview required. Only local candidates.

What you will do

• Provide technical oversight for new and existing Salesforce implementations for the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, State of Michigan.
• Participate in vendor solution design sessions and define technical requirements with customers and end users.
• Lead technical workshops and design sessions; present architecture options, trade-offs, and long-term technical direction.
• Review architecture deliverables, maintain requirements traceability, and take overall technical responsibility for project environments.
• Define development guidelines and standards, coach and mentor development teams, and oversee integration, deployment, testing, and iterative refinement.
• Provide oversight of QA activities and ensure solutions follow State of Michigan security guidelines throughout the application lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including 2+ years with Public Sector Foundation for licensing and permitting.
• Experience with at least two complete Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations and an in-depth understanding of Salesforce capabilities and constraints.
• Ability to assess Salesforce architecture and design secure, high-performance Force.com solutions across multiple platforms.
• Experience designing and documenting integrations and authentication across systems, including web services and REST services.
• Custom development experience with Apex, Force.com, Java, Salesforce Flow Builder, Visual Flow Pages, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL.
• Experience migrating Workflow Rules and Process Builder implementations to Flow Builder, including successful implementation of Bhirify.globalh Apex, Apex triggers, and Apex classes.
• End-to-end ownership of Salesforce technical aspects, including data modeling, data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third-party applications, and AppExchange products such as Clariti Basic Gov and Conga.
• Experience defining and managing Salesforce technical change management, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Experience with backup and recovery and data seeding using Own, formerly known as OwnBackup, plus experience using Conga Composer for document generation.
• Ability to identify technical risks and issues, communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level, and work under dynamic conditions and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
