Salesforce Developer (Salesforce)

Location: Hybrid role in Herndon, Virginia, United States.

What you will do

• Develop, prototype, test, and demonstrate Salesforce applications and capabilities for users.
• Build custom Salesforce applications using declarative tools such as Flows and App Builder.
• Design Salesforce modernization solutions, recommendations, roadmaps, and fit-gap analyses across Salesforce clouds, AppExchange tools, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, systems architects, support teams, and customers to design solutions meeting business and technical requirements.
• Manage code merges, resolve repository conflicts, and deploy Salesforce repositories to sandboxes, test environments, higher environments, and production.
• Develop APIs and integrations with external systems while monitoring testing, performance, security, Section 508, and FISMA requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in an Agile software development lifecycle.
• At least 2 years of experience developing enterprise-level Salesforce projects through implementation lifecycles, with demonstrable success.
• Experience performing Salesforce Git repository merges, resolving conflicts, and deploying repositories to sandboxes and test environments.
• Experience writing Visualforce, Apex classes and controllers, triggers, SOQL, and SOSL.
• Proficiency with Data Loader, Workbench, Salesforce Platform IDE, and third-party Salesforce integrations.
• Experience designing, building, and implementing custom applications using Salesforce declarative customization capabilities.
• Active Secret or higher security clearance is required; interim clearance is acceptable.

Nice to have

• Certified Force.com/Salesforce Platform Advanced Developer (DEV 501).
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing and deploying applications written in open languages on Heroku and integrating them with Salesforce.
