Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada (remote)

Base pay: $130,000–$170,000/year, with possible additional bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and transform the Procurement organization through process optimization, continuous improvement, training, change management, and governance.
• Develop technology sourcing strategies covering software, hardware, events, vendors, and technology services.
• Use Ironclad, Productiv, AI, and other procurement or vendor-management platforms to improve effectiveness, reporting, contract lifecycle management, and data-driven decisions.
• Partner with Finance on annual and quarterly technology budget planning, forecasting, spend analysis, KPI management, and cost optimization.
• Drive system consolidation and vendor portfolio rationalization, including renegotiation of enterprise-wide agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, InfoSec, Finance, and senior leadership to manage risk, compliance, contracts, negotiations, escalations, renewals, new vendors, and change orders.

Requirements

• Proven senior-level leadership experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management.
• Experience implementing and managing procurement tools and contract management platforms, including Ironclad or DocuSign, SaaS management, and orchestration tools.
• Deep expertise in system consolidation, technology budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management related to technology procurement.
• Practical experience deploying AI applications and leading system consolidation.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a record of delivering cost savings and value through complex agreements.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Strategic thinking, continuous improvement experience, and the ability to lead organizational change.
• Self-motivation, an entrepreneurial mindset, high operational standards, and strong data accuracy.
