Strategic Buyer (m/f/d; CAPEX and Facilities Management)

Location: Hybrid role based in Hamburg, Germany.

International media business producing print and digital publishing, audio broadcasting, entertainment, radio, and podcast content across Europe.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing activities from requirements gathering through supplier selection and contract award.
• Run RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes and provide commercial recommendations to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms for services, projects, and supplier agreements.
• Support procurement activities across Facilities Management, Utilities, and CAPEX investments.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to improve sourcing outcomes and supplier performance.
• Analyse spend and market data to identify savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, ESG, compliance, and governance opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrable procurement experience, including sourcing and contract negotiations.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships across multiple business areas.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing methodologies, and supplier management.
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into commercial recommendations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach and confidence to influence stakeholders.
• Organised and dependable, with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Facilities Management, Utilities, Technical Services, Construction-related, or CAPEX procurement.
• Experience using ERP systems and procurement tools, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
