Head of Exposure Management & Reinsurance Oversight (Insurance)

Location: Eastleigh, London, UK — hybrid. Flexible working is available within the UK.

Salary: £95,000–£105,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the exposure management framework across the business.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, accumulations, concentration risks, and catastrophe modelling activities.
• Drive climate risk analysis, emerging-risk assessment, and future portfolio resilience planning.
• Provide independent risk insight, governance, management information, and evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with underwriting, pricing, claims, risk, and finance teams and support portfolio governance forums.
• Provide strategic oversight of the reinsurance programme and support reinsurance renewals and risk-transfer decisions.

Requirements

• Experience in exposure management, portfolio analytics, or catastrophe modelling.
• Strong understanding of insurance portfolio risk.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into practical actions.
• Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
• Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach across multiple teams.
