ILS & Alternative Capital Structurer

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid work model with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week; the role includes travel to client and investor meetings.

Annual base salary: GBP 72,000–108,000 for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation and applicable benefits.

What you will do

• Contribute to the origination, pricing, structuring and execution of ILS and alternative capital transactions across property and casualty and life and health sectors.
• Collaborate with investment bankers, risk modellers, rating agencies and legal firms to execute transactions.
• Prepare presentations and other client materials for investors, rating agencies, regulators and stakeholders.
• Analyse client exposures and perform financial analyses using Monte Carlo simulations and cash flow models to support pricing, structuring and risk assessment.
• Support the development of new structural solutions and products that expand the market offering.
• Engage with clients and investors, travel to meetings, build relationships and improve transaction processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with significant emphasis in Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a similarly analytical discipline, with a strong academic record.
• 2–5 years of investment banking experience with a proven track record of contributing to complex financial transactions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in Monte Carlo simulation techniques and cash flow modelling.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with meticulous attention to detail in client-facing materials.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach and ability to engage professionally with clients and investors at all levels.

• Dedication to continuous learning and willingness to challenge the status quo.

Nice to have

• Experience in reinsurance and/or the ILS market, including familiarity with catastrophe bonds, sidecars or other alternative capital instruments.
