Reinsurance Technician (Reinsurance)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. Short-term remote work abroad may be requested for up to 20 days per year from certain locations.

What you will do

• Process and record balances for facultative proportional and non-proportional reinsurance in the European Operations division.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurers, brokers, underwriters, claims teams, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to queries about premium settlements and claims recoveries, obtaining loss reports and raising queries to support accurate processing.
• Support the Outwards Credit Control team in ensuring timely receipt of recoveries.
• Perform peer reviews of work completed by offshore and onshore reinsurance teams and keep process documentation up to date.
• Run reports and extract and analyse data using Excel and Power BI.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the insurance or reinsurance business.
• Facultative reinsurance experience.
• High numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to prioritise work to demanding deadlines and manage workload in line with agreed plans.
• Knowledge of business processes.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organisational and analytical skills, including the ability to prioritise work.

Nice to have

• Captive or co-reinsurance experience.
• Experience using DCXL.
• Experience with LORs.
