Senior Reinsurance & Pricing Manager - Protection (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site in Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds or London, UK.

What you will do

• Lead, coach and develop the Pricing & Reinsurance team.
• Set pricing strategy across intermediary and bancassurance propositions, balancing customer value, competitiveness and sustainable returns.
• Use customer, market and competitor insight to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead reinsurance relationships and negotiations, making decisions on risk transfer and self-insurance.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Strategy and Proposition teams to deliver customer and commercial outcomes.
• Apply data, advanced analytics and AI to improve segmentation, customer journeys, conversion, pricing capability and risk management.

Requirements

• Strong actuarial background, ideally in Protection, Life Insurance or Retail Financial Services.
• Senior-level experience in pricing, commercial strategy, actuarial or reinsurance roles.
• Strong commercial judgement and understanding of how pricing supports growth, profitability and customer outcomes.
• Ability to translate complex customer, market and analytical insight into clear action.
• Interest in using technology, advanced analytics and AI to improve pricing and risk management.
• Track record of leading change, influencing senior stakeholders and developing people.
