Solution Consultant (Alfresco)

Location: Remote in Australia; Sydney or Melbourne, Australia. Up to 30% annual travel required.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze business processes and technical requirements from customer stakeholders to inform solution designs.
• Configure application development tools and build enterprise software solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Prepare solution documentation and demonstrate configured solutions or working prototypes to technical and business stakeholders.
• Test solutions, resolve issues, and develop and deliver training materials and sessions for customer adoption.
• Develop and execute migration plans, support production transitions, and hand over relevant information to technical support.
• Track project budget, scope, and timelines; communicate risks and contribute to infrastructure discussions and effort estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with knowledge of scripting, system architecture, or relational databases applicable to enterprise software implementations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigating complex situations, asking probing questions, and gathering high-quality information from diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and business audiences.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, with a self-motivated and structured approach to managing multiple project workstreams.
• Sound judgment, appropriate escalation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Flexibility to meet up to 30% annual travel requirements.
• Experience with Alfresco or similar enterprise content management platforms, including configuring, developing, and implementing solutions in a techno-functional capacity.
• Coding proficiency from basic to advanced, with Java as the preferred language; working knowledge of .NET/C#, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience applying practical industry knowledge to design and deliver solutions for complex customer challenges.
• Experience in customer-facing consulting or implementation roles, with the ability to build relationships and communicate across technical and business audiences.
• Experience defining upgrade plans and executing software upgrades, with an understanding of infrastructure requirements across varied customer technology environments.

Nice to have

• Alfresco platform experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of .NET/C# and Python or other scripting languages is valued in addition to Java.
