Financial Controller (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation across US and international entities, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translation.
• Deliver financial statements and reporting packages for the CFO, board, PE sponsor, and lenders, including SaaS metrics and covenant compliance reporting.
• Serve as the technical accounting authority for ASC 606, ASC 842, equity compensation and 409A, R&D cost treatment, new products, contract structures, and non-routine transactions.
• Design internal controls, manage statutory compliance, and lead the annual external audit and quarterly reviews.
• Own cash management, liquidity visibility, cash flow forecasting, working capital, banking relationships, and lender relationships across entities and currencies.
• Improve ERP and consolidation systems, support acquisition integration, and build and mentor a global accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or international equivalent such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience; Big 4 or national firm experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience owning global, multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and equity compensation, plus working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience in a SaaS or software business. Life sciences or healthcare-adjacent experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment, including lender and covenant reporting.
• Experience managing and developing a distributed team.
• Strong ERP systems experience, such as NetSuite or a comparable system.
• Must sit within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.
