IT Application Analyst (AWS)

What you will do

• Analyze and support order management applications, including quoting, contract management, address validation, payment services, and custom AWS applications.
• Create and maintain detailed solution design documentation covering architecture, data flows, integrations, business rules, and design decisions.
• Document support processes, runbooks, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, escalation paths, and AutoSys job dependencies.
• Translate business needs into technical designs, requirements, Jira stories, and acceptance criteria while collaborating with business partners, developers, architects, and infrastructure teams.
• Support contract management modernization through requirements, process design, solution evaluation, and analysis of fit, integration, cost, risk, and maintainability.
• Triage and resolve incidents and service requests, investigate data issues with SQL, identify root causes, use AI tools for analysis and documentation, and share knowledge with teammates.

Requirements

• Six or more years of professional IT or information systems experience, including analysis, design, and support of business applications.
• Experience designing custom applications on AWS.
• Experience evaluating or implementing commercial off-the-shelf solutions.
• Demonstrated experience creating clear, detailed technical and process documentation.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar applications, business processes, and technical designs.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical designs and requirements and evaluate and communicate tradeoffs.
• Proficiency writing and running SQL queries to investigate data issues and validate results.
• Understanding of data modeling, APIs, integrations, and application architecture sufficient to review designs, identify gaps, and challenge approaches and estimates.
• Experience writing Jira or similar user stories with acceptance criteria covering edge cases, data requirements, error handling, security, and performance.
• Strong written communication, documentation, problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, and escalation skills.
• Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience with order management, quoting, or contract management processes.
