Senior Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote — United States; flexible within US time zones, with morning overlap with European hours expected.

Salary: $90,000–$112,000 annually.

Provides behavioral therapy services and an ABA platform for children with autism, including data collection, outcomes reporting, custom integrations, and audit-readiness tools.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day accounting and the monthly close for assigned entities, including quarterly and year-end work and close packages for CFO review.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed-asset entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Manage Stripe invoicing, payment application, credits, refunds, contract changes, subscription revenue, and deferred revenue.
• Reconcile billing records, cash receipts, and the general ledger; monitor receivables and resolve routine customer billing questions.
• Prepare sales-tax reports and audit schedules, respond to auditor requests, and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Improve accounting workflows, review controls, system integrations, expense records, and approved automation or AI tools while preserving human review.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of recurring month-end closes and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Hands-on SaaS or subscription accounting experience, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and billing-to-ledger reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply approved accounting policies to day-to-day transactions.
• Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules, and identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Clear communication with customers and non-finance colleagues, with experience managing accounting priorities and collaborating effectively in a remote team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stripe, QuickBooks, or comparable billing and accounting systems.
• Experience supporting external audits, preparing sales-tax schedules, or improving accounting controls and workflows.
• Experience working across multiple entities or currencies.
