Senior Project Manager (Capital Engineering Projects)

Location: Evansville, IN, United States. On-site, full-time role with physical work in office, industrial, and construction environments.

What you will do

• Lead capital project execution from initiation through closeout, including conceptual and detailed design, equipment selection, procurement, construction administration, and project turnover.
• Develop pursuit strategies, engage prospective clients, assess technical and commercial opportunities, and prepare proposals defining scope, schedule, deliverables, and execution risks.
• Lead architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, trades, and subcontractors across industrial and manufacturing projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, milestone schedules, forecasts, invoicing, cash flow, accruals, contracts, commercial terms, change management, and weekly reporting.
• Coordinate meetings, presentations, project communications, decisions, action items, design recommendations, compliance, operational requirements, safety, and quality.
• Maintain client relationships and provide trusted project leadership across multiple projects with competing priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5–15 years of relevant industry experience supporting capital engineering projects.
• General engineering knowledge and a basic understanding of capital project lifecycles.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, document management systems such as SharePoint, and digital collaboration platforms such as Procore or Autodesk Build.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead projects forward on time and within budget.
• Flexibility to work on varied projects and tasks and adapt to changing project conditions.
• Ability to carry light equipment and field measurement tools, typically 15 lbs. or less; work at a computer; prepare field notes or sketches; and interpret technical drawings, models, and design documentation.
• Ability to navigate multi-level industrial facilities using stairs and ladders, walk extended distances on industrial or construction sites, work outdoors in varying conditions, recognize safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection, and use respirators or other required protective equipment.
