Senior Project Manager, ANS (Construction)

Location: Montgomery County, Maryland, United States; onsite at client and partner sites.

What you will do

• Oversee contract administration, project scopes, compliance, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage project budgets; review contractor proposals, change orders, claims, pay applications, and financial reports.
• Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, critical path activities, and recovery schedules.
• Manage construction documentation, bidding, startup, closeout, submittals, RFIs, change management, pay applications, and project reporting.
• Communicate project status, budgets, risks, and delays to clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Lead project staff, provide technical guidance, manage risks, direct design firms and contractors, and complete project closeout and punch-list activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, and/or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience overseeing and managing all phases of higher education institution programs/projects.
• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases.
• Ability to problem-solve, interpret information, draw conclusions, and make decisions.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl, climb ladders, stairs, and hills, reach overhead, lift 40 pounds or more, comply with personal protective equipment requirements, and work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and fumes on project sites.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or PMP certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills.
• Experience with construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Adobe.
